According to the Word of God, a church must fellowship and fellowship often. Church must meet for more than just Sunday or midweek services. At Elmwood Baptist Church, we have many different fellowships that function to create a close-nit family environment. You are not just a person at Elmwood, but part of the family!

Thursday Evening Prayer

“I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” – 1 Timothy 2:8

Every week the people of our church meet on Thursday nights at 7 pm to pray for many prayer needs. We invite all of like faith to come and pray for a work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Consider this quote from Charles Spurgeon:

“It is good for us to draw nigh unto God in prayer. Our minds are grieved to see so little attention given to united prayer by many churches … Brethren, we shall never see much change for the better in our churches till the prayer meeting occupies a higher place in the esteem of Christians.” – Charles Spurgeon, The Kind of Revival We Need
